The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of multiple open sockets. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow in the kernel in certain configurations. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.2.0. Prior versions may also be affected.
