Vacant positions at Secunia: http://secunia.com/secunia_vacancies/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: CartWIZ Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA15055 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/15055/ CRITICAL: Moderately critical IMPACT: Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data, Exposure of system information WHERE: >From remote SOFTWARE: CartWIZ http://secunia.com/product/4959/ DESCRIPTION: Diabolic Crab has reported some vulnerabilities in CartWIZ, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks. 1) Input passed to the "idProduct", "priceTo", "priceFrom", and "idCategory" parameters isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. 2) Input passed to "idProduct" parameter in "tellAFriend.asp" and "addToWishlist.asp", the "redirect" parameter in "access.asp", the "message" parameter in "error.asp" and "login.asp", the "redirect" parameter in "login.asp", the "sku" parameter in "searchResults.asp", and the "name" parameter in "searchResults.asp" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site. It is also possible to disclose the full path to "productCatalogSubCats.asp" by accessing it with an invalid "idParentCategory" parameter. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
