DESCRIPTION:
SoulBlack Security Research has discovered a vulnerability in
PHPstat, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain
security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the authentication
process in "setup.php". This can be exploited to bypass
authentication and change the administrator's username and password
via the "check" parameter.

http://[host]/setup.php?check=yes&username=[username]&password=[password]

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.0.1. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that users are properly authenticated.
