DESCRIPTION:
Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in Stronghold 2, which
can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of overly
long nicknames. This can be exploited to crash a vulnerable server by
sending a specially crafted join packet.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2 and prior.

SOLUTION:
Host games on trusted networks only.
