DESCRIPTION:
Marc Schoenefeld has reported a weakness in JBoss, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose system information.

The weakness is caused due to an error in the request handling for
RMI code download in the "org.jboss.web.WebServer" class. This can be
exploited to disclose the full path to the installation directory or
the contents of certain configuration files (e.g. the security policy
file) by sending a specially crafted HTTP request with a path starting
with "%" to port 8083.

The weakness has been reported in versions 3.2.2 through 3.2.7 and
4.0.2. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to port 8083.
