DESCRIPTION:
Tacettin Karadeniz has discovered a vulnerability in
JaguarEditControl, which potentially can be exploited by malicious
people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in
JaguarEditControl.dll when copying an overly long string supplied via
the Jtext parameter to a heap-based buffer. This causes heap
corruption and can potentially be exploited for code execution.

Successful exploitation requires that the user is tricked into
visiting a malicious web site.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1,1,0,18. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict use of ActiveX controls to trusted web sites only.
