DESCRIPTION:
Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities in BFCommand &
Control Server Manager, which can be exploited by malicious people to
bypass certain security restrictions or cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

1) A design error in the server access control allows full "Super
Admin" access to the Server Manager without requiring logon. It is
also possible to bypass the authentication by having a NULL byte in
the username field.

2) A modified client can gain escalated privileges on the server due
to a design error where permissions and command validations are
performed on the client instead of on the server.

3) It is possible to cause the server to stop accepting users by
creating 20 consecutive connections to the server and disconnecting
without sending the "login" command.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in BFCC versions 1.22_A and
prior, and in BFVCC versions 2.14_B and prior.

SOLUTION:
Use BFCC / BFVCC Server Manager on trusted networks only.
