DESCRIPTION:
Critical Security has discovered a vulnerability in SlimFTPd, which
can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in handling certain USER
and PASS commands and can be exploited to crash the server.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 3.17. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter traffic to the FTP service.
