TITLE: PHP-Nuke SQL Injection Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA17315 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/17315/ CRITICAL: Moderately critical IMPACT: Manipulation of data WHERE: >From remote SOFTWARE: PHP-Nuke 7.x http://secunia.com/product/2385/ DESCRIPTION: rgod has discovered some vulnerabilities in PHP-Nuke, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks. Input passed to the "username" parameter when logging in, the "url" parameter in the "Downloads" module, and the "description" parameter in the "Web_links" module isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 7.8. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
