The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling an ".alz" archive that contains a file with an overly long filename. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow when a specially crafted ".alz" archive is extracted. The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.52. Prior versions may also be affected.
