This fixes a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges. The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the handling of certain environment variables when the "/sbin/service" command is run. This can be exploited by local users with permissions to execute /sbin/service via sudo to execute arbitrary commands as the "root" user. Note: Several bugs have also been fixed.
