The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the handling of the "PATH_INFO" environment variable in "qmailadmin.c". This can potentially be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially-crafted URL request. The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2.9. Prior versions may also be affected.
