DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP-UX, which can be exploited by
malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to passwd not recovering gracefully
from certain error conditions.

The vulnerability affects HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, and B.11.23.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.

HP-UX B.11.00:
Install PHCO_33219 or later.

HP_UX B.11.11:
Install PHCO_33214 and PHCO_33215.

HP-UX B.11.23:
Install PHCO_32149 and PHCO_32926.
