The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the HTTP compression functionality when processing HTTP requests. This can be exploited to cause a vulnerable device to reload by sending a valid, but obsolete, or specially crafted HTTP request. Successful exploitation requires that the network device has been configured for HTTP compression.
