The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error in the "print_formatted()" function in xitk/main.c when processing a specially crafted playlist containing a file with format specifiers in its file path. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.99.4. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Use another product.
