The vulnerability is caused due an input validation error within the "InstallProduct" routine of the "VUpdater.Install" ActiveX control. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary files within ".CAB" archives. Successful exploitation requires that the user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious website.
