TITLE: phpRemoteView Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA20141 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/20141/ CRITICAL: Less critical IMPACT: Cross Site Scripting WHERE: >From remote SOFTWARE: phpRemoteView http://secunia.com/product/10003/ DESCRIPTION: Soot has discovered some vulnerabilities in phpRemoteView, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Input passed to the "f", "d", and "ref" parameters is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2003_10_23. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
