Input passed to the "search" parameter in index.tmpl isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. Example: http://[host]:6969/index.tmpl?search=[code] Successful exploitation requires that the built-in tracker is enabled on a HTTP port (not enabled by default). The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.4.0.2. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy server or firewall with URL filtering capabilities.
