DESCRIPTION:
Pavithra Hanchagaiah has discovered some vulnerabilities in
PHP-Blogger, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct
script insertion attacks.

Input passed to the "title" and "description" parameters when posting
news, the "Description" fields when posting a slideshow, and the "Site
Name" field when updating the general preferences and installing the
application isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be
exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious user data is viewed.

Successful exploitation requires access to the administration
section.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.2.5. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to the administration section.

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
