DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in ISC DHCP, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the processing of
DHCPOFFER packets in the "supersede_lease()" function in memory.c.
This can be exploited to crash a vulnerable service by sending a
packet with a 32 byte client-identifier option.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.0pl5. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Upgrade to the latest version of DHCP 3.x.

DHCP 2.x is considered "end of life".
