DESCRIPTION:
Omid has discovered a vulnerability in Simple Machines Forum, which
can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

Input passed to the "cur_cat" parameter in Sources/ManageBoards.php
when adding a new board is not properly sanitised before being used
in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires privileges to add a new board.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.1 RC3. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Grant only trusted users administrative privileges to the
application.
