The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of LHA archives with a long directory name in the extended directory header. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted LHA archive. Successful exploitation crashes the service and may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability has been reported in version 4.33. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: As a workaround, you can disable the scanning of archives by setting the "CheckArchives" option in drweb.ini to "No".
