The vulnerability exist due to an error in the Notes Remote Procedure Call (NRPC) protocol on port 1352 when using unauthenticated name lookup transactions. This can be exploited to list valid user names and download user ID files of existing users. The vulnerability is reported in versions 5.0, 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0. SOLUTION: Update to version 6.5.5 Fix Pack 2 (FP2) or 7.0.2 and configure the "BLOCK_LOOKUPID" variable in the server's "notes.ini" file (see the vendor's advisory for details).
