The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the WG311ND5.SYS device driver when handling long SSIDs. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in version 2.3.1.10 of WG311ND5.SYS included in the WG311v1 Driver version 1.3 package. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Turn off the wireless card when not in use.
