If dddddddddd is set to 0000032767 and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is set appropriately, a stack buffer is overwritten, and it is possible to gain control of execution. By default on Windows, LGSERVER.EXE (the Mobile Backup Service) runs as Local System. =============== Fix Information =============== http://supportconnectw.ca.com/public/sams/lifeguard/infodocs/babldimpsec-notice.asp NGSSoftware Insight Security Research http://www.ngssoftware.com http://www.databasesecurity.com/ http://www.nextgenss.com/ +44(0)208 401 0070 -- E-MAIL DISCLAIMER The information contained in this email and any subsequent correspondence is private, is solely for the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential or privileged information.
