DESCRIPTION:
Joren McReynolds has reported some vulnerabilities in DevTrack, which
can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion
attacks and by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to form fields, e.g. "Keyword search", when saving
search queries is not properly sanitised before being used. This can
be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious query is loaded.

Successful exploitation requires privileges to save queries as
public.

2) Input passed to the "Username" form field when logging in is not
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 6.0.3. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
The vendor will reportedly address the vulnerabilities in the
upcoming patch 6.2.

Grant only trusted users access to the application and filter
malicious characters and character sequences with a web proxy.
