DESCRIPTION:
Piotr Bania has reported a vulnerability in Winamp, which potentially
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within LIBSNDFILE.DLL
when handling .MAT (Matlab sound files) files. This can be exploited
to overwrite an arbitrary memory location with a NULL byte when
opening a specially crafted .MAT file.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 5.33. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted .MAT files.
