The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing the "setInterval()" function and can be exploited to display arbitary content while showing the URL of a trusted web site in the address bar. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.5.7-01 on Fedora Core 6. Other versions may also be affected. NOTE: An address bar spoofing vulnerability via whitespaces the username or the password within a URL has also been reported, but reportedly only affects versions that have the patch installed for the "data:" URI scheme address bar spoofing vulnerability.
