DESCRIPTION:
Parvez Anwar has discovered two vulnerabilities in Move Media Player,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors within the
Quantum Streaming IE Player ActiveX control when handling arguments
passed to the "Play()" and "Buzzer()" methods. These can be exploited
to cause stack-based buffer overflows by passing overly long string to
the affected methods.

Successful exploitation allow execution of arbitrary code but
requires that a user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious
website.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in qsp2ie07051001.dll version
1.0.0.1 of the ActiveX control included in the Move Media Player
installer. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
