The vulnerabilities are caused due to input validation errors in PNG.8BI and BMP.8BI when processing PNG and BMP image files. These can be exploited to cause heap-based buffer overflows when e.g. dragging a specially crafted PNG or BMP file into the html layout. This is similar to: SA25023 SA25044 The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 9.0.0. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Apply patches (see the vendor's advisory for details). NOTE: A fix for the PNG vulnerability in Macintosh is not currently available. The vendor recommends temporarily disabling PNG support (see the vendor's advisory for details).
