The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the processing of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) packets within the "SIP_PDU::Read()" method in sip/sippdu.cxx. This can be exploited to write a zero byte to an arbitrary memory address. The vulnerability is reported in version 2.2.4. Prior versions may also be affected.
