DESCRIPTION:
Beenu Arora has discovered two vulnerabilities in Mambo, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Input passed to the "Itemid" parameter in index.php (when "option" is
set to "com_frontpage") and "option" in index.php (when "Itemid" is
set to "1") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Successful exploitation of both vulnerabilities requires that the
target user runs a web browser that does not URL-encode the request
(e.g. Internet Explorer 6).

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.6.2. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
