DESCRIPTION:
retrogod has discovered two vulnerabilities in the Toshiba Surveillix
RecordSend Class ActiveX control, which can be exploited by malicious
people to compromise a user's system.

Boundary errors within the MeIpCamX.RecordSend.1 control
(MeIpCamX.dll) can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows
by passing an overly-long string as argument to the "SetPort()" or
"SetIpAddress()" method.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.0.0.4. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
