DESCRIPTION:
Oliver Karow has discovered a vulnerability in BitDefender Update
Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose
sensitive information.

Input passed via the URL to the BitDefender HTTP Server (http.exe) is
not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to
display arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.

Successful exploitation requires that the BitDefender HTTP Server is
used to publish updates.

The vulnerability is confirmed in BitDefender HTTP Server (http.exe)
version 2.5.0.0. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict network access to the service.
