The vulnerabilities are caused due to race condition errors within the CPU Performance Counters (cpc(3CPC)) sub-system of the Solaris kernel. These can be exploited to cause a system panic. The vulnerabilities are reported in Solaris 10 for both the SPARC and x86 platforms.
