DESCRIPTION:
Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities and a security issue
in ASG-Sentry Network Manager, which can be exploited by malicious
people to manipulate certain data, bypass certain security
restrictions, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), or compromise a
vulnerable system.

1) A vulnerability is caused due to the file check utility
"fcheck.exe" overwriting arbitrary files specified via the "-b"
option in an HTTP request. 

2) A boundary error in the "FxAgent" process can be exploited to
caused a heap-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted
SNMP request containing an overly long community string.

3) Commands sent to the "FxIAList" service are not authenticated.
This can be exploited to e.g. stop the service by sending an "exit"
command to port 6162/TCP.

4) A boundary error in the "FxIAList" service can be exploited to
cause a stack-based buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted
packet to port 6162/TCP.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows execution of
arbitrary code.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 7.0.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict network access to the services.
