DESCRIPTION:
t0pP8uZz has reported two vulnerabilities in iScripts SocialWare,
which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable
system, and by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "id" parameter in events.php (when "action" is
set to "show") is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL
queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. retrieving
administrator usernames and passwords.

2) The Manage Settings functionality fails to validate the extension
of an uploaded file. This can be exploited to upload files as logos
with ".php" extensions, which can further be used to execute
arbitrary PHP code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires valid
administrator credentials.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised. Only
grant administrator access to trusted users.
