The problem is that basic authentication in Oracle Application Server Portal can be bypassed to read the content of "/dav_portal/portal/" via a specially crafted session ID in the cookie, which is e.g. set when accessing "/pls/portal/%0A". The vulnerability is reported in Oracle Application Server 10g Portal. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict network access to affected systems.
