The vulnerability is caused due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the HTTP/XML-RPC server and can be exploited to cause the server to crash via an overly long (greater than 4096 bytes) HTTP request. Successful exploitation requires that the HTTP/XML-RPC server is activated. The vulnerability is reported in version 1.1.1.6156. Other versions may also be affected.
