The vulnerability is caused due to the upload_pictures.php script failing to validate the extensions of uploaded files. This can be exploited to upload files with arbitrary extensions (e.g. ".php") and execute arbitrary PHP code on the server. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.1.3. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Implement whitelisting based on file extensions in uploaded files.
