The vulnerability is caused due to the PAWWeb11.ocx ActiveX control including the insecure method "ExecutePreferredApplication()". This can be exploited to execute arbitrary applications on a user's system when e.g. visiting a malicious website. The vulnerability is reported in Peachtree Accounting 2004. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
