The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing HTTP responses received from "dynupdate.no-ip.com". This can be exploited cause a stack-based buffer overflow when performing an update. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but requires e.g. a MitM (Man-in-the-Middle) or DNS spoofing attack. The vulnerability is reported in version 2.1.7.
