This fixes a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or to potentially compromise a vulnerable system. The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the ndiswrapper kernel driver when processing wireless network packets. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via an overly long ESSID (Extended Service Set Identifier). SOLUTION: Update to "net-wireless/ndiswrapper-1.53-r1" or later.
