The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing certain Windows registry keys, which can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into installing a malicious license key file. Successful exploitation allows the execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.3. Other versions may also be affected.
