DESCRIPTION:
Houssamix has discovered a vulnerability in Merak Media Player, which
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when setting the
ToolTip text for the status bar icon. This can be exploited to cause
a stack-based buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into opening a
specially crafted playlist file.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted playlist files.
