DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP-UX, which can be exploited by
malicious people to conduct spoofing attacks, disclose potentially
sensitive information, or to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the implementation of
the Neighbor Discovery protocol and can be exploited to add a fake
entry to the router's neighbor cache.

This is related to:
SA32112

The vulnerability is reported in HP-UX B.11.11, B.11.23, and B.11.31
running IPv6.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.

HP-UX B.11.11:
Install patch PHNE_37898 or subsequent.

HP-UX B.11.23:
Install patch PHNE_37897 or subsequent.

HP-UX B.11.31:
Install patch PHNE_38680 or subsequent.
