The vulnerability is caused due to the Tioga.Editor.1 ActiveX control (dnaedit.dll) providing the insecure "PackageFiles()" method. This can be exploited to write arbitrary data to arbitrary files in the context of the currently logged-on user. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is reported in dnaedit.dll version 6.9.2205. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
