Citadel webcit Module "embeddable_mini_calendar()" Format String
Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Citadel webcit, which can be
exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and
potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error within the
"embeddable_mini_calendar()" function in calendar_view.c of the
webcit module, which can potentially be exploited to execute
arbitrary code by passing specially crafted URLs to the server.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to webcit 7.39.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.39.
