Sun Solaris dircmp Shell Script File Overwriting Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Solaris, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with
escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to a race condition error in the
dircmp shell script and allows creating or overwriting arbitrary
files on the system with the permissions of the user running dircmp.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
