This can be exploited to bypass other checks by e.g. executing a setuid application before exiting, resulting in the signal not being reset to SIGCHLD. 2) Some security issues are caused due to integer overflows within the "nr_sendmsg()" function in net/netrom/af_netrom.c, the "rose_sendmsg()" function in net/rose/af_rose.c, and the "x25_sendmsg()" function in net/x25/af_x25.c. This can be exploited to disclose potentially sensitive information via an overly large length value. SOLUTION: Fixed in version 2.6.30-rc1. PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: 1) Oleg Nesterov 2) Thomas Pollet ORIGINAL ADVISORY: http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/testing/ChangeLog-2.6.30-rc1 1) http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commitdiff;h=432870dab85a2f69dc417022646cb9a70acf7f94 2) http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10423 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About: This Advisory was delivered by Secunia as a free service to help everybody keeping their systems up to date against the latest vulnerabilities.
